About For the Love of a Baby

For the Love of a Baby is an independent Australian guide to baby gear sold on Amazon.com.au, run from Victoria by a mum of two. It exists because choosing baby products in Australia is harder than it should be: the rules are different from the US and UK, half the internet’s advice is written for those markets, and Amazon.com.au mixes Australian stock with overseas listings that may not meet our standards.

What we do

We research one category at a time, apply the Australian standard that covers it, compare the products that are actually available here, and publish a short, honest shortlist: an overall pick, a budget pick, and the best option for common situations such as twins, small cars, travel or hot climates. Each roundup explains how to choose, answers the questions parents actually search, and links to the live Amazon.com.au listing so you can check today’s price and stock.

What we don’t do

We do not sell products, we do not accept payment from brands to feature products, and we do not publish prices or ratings that could be out of date by the time you read them. We do not claim to have lab-tested anything; our method is explained on How we choose.
